Mushroom Leather MYCL " is a 100% natural material derived from thin layers of mushroom mycelium. It contains no synthetic resins, has a small environmental impact, and is a recyclable material that returns to nature.

The cowhide is "vacchetta leather," a vegetable-tanned leather that has been passed down from generation to generation since the 14th century in the Tuscany region of Italy.

The combination of innovative mushroom leather and historic cowhide is a bridge to a sustainable future.

Since the Paleolithic era, humans have supported their survival not only by using hunted animals for food, but also by turning their bones into tools and their skins into clothing. The transformation of perishable animal skins into durable leather is one of the oldest sustainable inventions, a wisdom for surviving the harsh environment.

Even today, the effective use of the large amount of skins, a byproduct of the meat industry, is essential to both meat consumption and the preservation of the global environment.

Vegan Leather and Sustainability

On the other hand, the livestock industry consumes large amounts of water, and cattle methane emissions are one of the major causes of global warming. To address this issue, plant-derived meat substitutes are being developed, and in the future, cattle will be raised in smaller numbers, requiring alternative materials to replace leather.
