Wrapping" the heart, business card case
Tsutsumu® Name Card Case Aria - Foschia
Small Tsutsumu®.
Winner of seven international design awards, the Tsutsumu® Card Case is the origin of all SYRINX leather items.
This masterpiece is now even more beautiful, refined, and smaller. It weighs only about 17g.
Right-handed and left-handed versions are available.
Aria" is as light as air
Aria" means "air" in Italian. It also means a lyrical solo song in opera and religious music.
It is thin, light, and like air, you forget it even exists. Yet it is beautiful and full of originality.
Aria" is made of thin leather with a "solid" (glued all over) surface.
It takes a great deal of
experience and skill to create two thin pieces of leather that can be folded without lifting or bending, giving the illusion of a single piece.
Japanese beauty that "wraps" the heart
Wrapping an important business card in a single piece of leather
In Japan, there is a culture of carefully wrapping important things, such as furoshiki used for gifts, fukusa, and noshibukuro.
We designed this business card case based on this traditional Japanese aesthetic of wrapping.
No strings, metal fittings, belts, or other clasps are used. Just high-quality leather folded over beautifully like origami to wrap your precious business cards.
In Japan, business cards are treated with the utmost respect.
Tsutsumu®" is a business item that conveys your own dignity and sensitivity as well as the culture of Japanese hospitality to others.
Unwrapping gesture that shows consideration for the recipient
When something is carefully wrapped, the act of unwrapping it also conveys care and thoughtfulness. In business situations, it is important not to keep the other person waiting.
Tsutsumu®" has no clasp, so it can be opened quickly and business cards can be taken out smoothly.
The smooth leather inside also allows business cards to glide easily and stress-free.
At first, it is difficult to tell the top and bottom sides apart, but the wax is quickly removed from the lid side, which is often touched by the hand, and the more you use it, the easier it becomes to tell.
Neat beauty
Logo-free exterior, exquisite details, sharp and symmetrical design.
Understated, neat beauty expresses your elegance.
Origins
Foschia is the Italian word for "fog. Foschia is characterized by a white wax-covered look like morning mist. The more the leather is used, the more the wax permeates the leather, giving it a translucent appearance.
Tanning and Manufacturing
The leather is made from the shoulders of adult Scandinavian cows. After vegetable tanning, the surface is lightly buffed and white waxed. The tanning material used is cod, a legume native to South America. Although rare, it is the lightest colored vegetable tannin and has a lightfast finish. It can be tanned whiter than usual, and the beautiful light color is achieved using only dyes, not pigments.
Maintenance
Wax gradually permeates into the leather, giving it an elegant and natural shine. Since it also contains a moderate amount of oil, oil care is not necessary unless you are concerned about scratches or dryness.
Light colors have a delicate surface and are more prone to stains and scratches, so care should be taken when handling them.
