One idea changes everything

Sometimes even the smallest ideas can lead to big breakthroughs.
One inconspicuous part completely transformed the design of SYRINX and brought about a leap forward for the brand.
This is the patented "inner hook" technology incorporated into the Hitoe Fold series.
This is an unconventional idea, using the user's card itself as the "fastener."
Although it has a structure not found in conventional wallets, it is intuitive to use and, above all, rational.
This simple device solved a number of problems in one fell swoop.
In a typical design approach, each challenge is addressed separately.
To prevent cards from falling out, a lid is placed and a zipper or hook is used as a fastener.
However, this makes opening and closing more difficult and also results in unpleasant metal protrusions and thickness.
And the more complex the structure, the more layers of leather there are, and the less thin and clear the design becomes.
The Inner Hook has solved all of these problems with one innovative solution.
By "hooking" the card, it prevents it from falling out and also functions as a "fastener."
It can be opened and closed smoothly without visual inspection, and no metal fittings are used.
It does not increase the amount of leather overlap and does not cause thickness.

Additionally, the cutouts in the card pockets are positioned accordingly, and also function as a "handle" that allows you to hook your finger on and smoothly remove the card.

Safety is also a consideration.
Even if you try to open Hitoe Fold upside down, the inner hook will not come off and it will not open.
This prevents accidents such as opening the lid upside down and dropping coins.
Without this small part, the Hitoe Fold would not be as thin, beautiful, and easy to use.
A single idea can solve many problems precisely, beautifully, and smartly.
This is supported by the sensibility cultivated in architectural design, which harmoniously resolves diverse requirements.
This is also the essence of the design that SYRINX aims for.
