The design is based on the harmony of the Fibonacci sequence found in nature.

Generally, most problems with wallets are caused by metal parts or stitching. However, Hitoe® Fold does not use any metal parts and has only four stitches .

2. Idea

Ultra-thin Hitoe® structure

The thinness is achieved through the Hitoe® structure (registered design) , which does not stack cards and coins.

The maximum number of layers is five, no metal parts are used, and the thickest part when in use is only about 9mm (when storing three cards, 10 bills, and a few coins). It is also light enough that you will forget it is there, weighing just 29g. It can store up to three cards, 15 bills, and 15 coins.

3. Usability

Pay quickly with minimal movement

It can be opened and closed easily by bending it into an " U " shape. With this single action, you can smoothly take out and put in all your coins and cards while keeping the wallet in portrait orientation.

(For right-handed people) The trick is to bend the bottom of the wallet into an L-shape with your left hand, without touching the inner hook.

About Foschia Leather

Origins

Foschia is the Italian word for "fog. Foschia is characterized by a white wax-covered look like morning mist. The more the leather is used, the more the wax permeates the leather, giving it a translucent appearance.

Tanning and Manufacturing

The leather is made from the shoulders of adult Scandinavian cows. After vegetable tanning, the surface is lightly buffed and white waxed. The tanning material used is cod, a legume native to South America. Although rare, it is the lightest colored vegetable tannin and has a lightfast finish. It can be tanned whiter than usual, and the beautiful light color is achieved using only dyes, not pigments.

Maintenance

Wax gradually permeates into the leather, giving it an elegant and natural shine. Since it also contains a moderate amount of oil, oil care is not necessary unless you are concerned about scratches or dryness.
Light colors have a delicate surface and are more prone to stains and scratches, so care should be taken when handling them.

Q. Are there any tips for opening and closing it?

If you are right-handed, you can use your left hand to bend the boundary between the coin pocket and the card pocket into an "U" shape, which will release the inner hook and allow the wallet to open smoothly.

To close it, lightly press the top with your right hand while bending it into an "U" shape with your left hand, and the inner hook will naturally catch on the card.

The trick is to not touch the inner hook when opening or closing it.

Q. The card pockets are too cramped

The design is tight so that the leather does not stretch more than necessary, so it may feel tight when you first start using it while the leather is still stiff. Don't worry, it will become more comfortable as you use it.

Also, if the card is difficult to insert all the way in, pressing the leather at the back of the card pocket (to the left of the card for right-handed users) firmly will help the card to fit in more easily.

Please note that storing cards with uneven surfaces or items other than credit card size (such as point cards or medical cards) can make the bag feel cramped.

Q: Will the cards fall out?

When you close the wallet by hanging the inner hook, it won't fall out.

Even when open, the leather on the top edge of the cards will support them if the wallet is held vertically. Please note that cards are more likely to fall out if the wallet is placed horizontally.

Q. Will the coins spill?

The coin pocket has a lid to prevent spills. As the leather becomes more flexible with use and the bend in the lid settles, it will become even less likely to spill.

The pocket is shallow to allow for quick removal of coins, and the size of the pocket allows the top of a 500 yen coin to be slightly visible, but it is hidden when the lid is closed.

If you open the wallet horizontally, coins may spill out. Please use it vertically.

I like it but it scratches easily

I've had it for two weeks and it's a good product that I like, but the surface scratches very easily so I'm giving it one star less.
Even just having it in your pocket, it has numerous scratches on it.
Maybe it will become less noticeable after a while of use, but it scratches far too easily even without coming into contact with anything sharp.

It's expensive, but I think it's worth it

I tried out a sample at the showroom and then placed my order.

Even though there is a certain amount of effort and risk involved, taking into account the deposit system, I think it's great that you offer a sample service.
Since it's by no means a cheap purchase, it's great to be able to hold the item in your hands and get a feel for how it will look and how the color will change over time.
If you could include leather samples of all colors, even if they were just scraps, I think it would be easier for people to visualize the product and give them more incentive to make a purchase.

In terms of capacity, it's perfect for me as I can fit up to three cards, a single digit number of bills, and the occasional coin.
*As noted on the website, this is for cards with no bumps or ridges. Even in the sample where the leather had softened sufficiently, one of the three cards was bumpy and it was difficult to insert and remove the card.

I think I'll get used to using it in a few days. I don't know how hard the leather is when it's new because it hasn't arrived yet, but I know how it feels when it gets soft, so I'm not particularly worried.
