Single-piece leather document case — Minimalist design made from a single piece of leather

In Japan, there is a culture of carefully wrapping precious items, as seen in the *furoshiki* (wrapping cloths), *fukusa* (gift covers), and *noshibukuro* (gift envelopes) used for gifts. We designed this document case inspired by this traditional Japanese aesthetic of "tsutsumu" (wrapping).
Gracefully removing important documents from this case will bring a sense of distinction to your presentations.

Carry A3 without folding

Holds A3 paper — Holds A3-sized materials

With exterior dimensions suited to A4, you can carry A3 blueprints, documents, and sheet music without folding them. It also accommodates A4-sized clear folders (w.220 h.310 mm).
Furthermore, there is no stitching along the edges, ensuring no space is wasted.

Fits laptops and accessories, too

It’s not just for documents. It is a perfect fit for A4-sized laptops and tablets (*within 30.5cm width, 21.5cm depth, and 2cm height). You can even store smaller items like pen cases and cardholders.
It gently wraps everything together, allowing you to head to your meetings with a sense of confidence, carrying just this case.

Wrapping precious materials in the finest leather

The leather is traditional Italian Vacchetta leather. It has a smooth texture, and its color and luster deepen the more you use it. We luxuriously crafted it from a single, thick piece of leather measuring approximately 71×43cm to allow you to fully enjoy the quality of the material. The polished edge line creates a minimalist form that flows continuously.

Please note that because of the large size of the leather, natural marks (wrinkles, veins, small scratches, or blemishes) cannot be avoided. Thank you for your understanding.

About Foschia Leather

Origins

Foschia, meaning "fog" in Italian, is characterized by its white wax-covered appearance, reminiscent of morning mist. As it is used, the wax permeates the leather, revealing a translucent finish.

Tanning and Manufacturing

Made from bovine shoulder leather sourced from Northern Europe. After vegetable tanning, the surface is lightly buffed (polished) and then coated with white wax.
Natural marks may also be visible.
LWG (Leather Working Group) Environmental Certification Gold Rank.

Maintenance

As the wax gradually permeates, an elegant and natural sheen develops. Oil care is not required unless scratches or dryness are a concern. For more details, please refer to here.

Light colors have a delicate surface and are prone to visible stains and scratches, requiring careful handling.

About Scuff Marks

Where the white wax is rubbed, the natural color of the leather appears, making it look darker and temporarily like fine scratches. As the wax permeates during regular use, the initial marks will gradually fade, and the leather will be covered with a translucent sheen.

During production and packpatina, minor scuffs and pressure marks may occur, resulting in individual variations in how the wax remains initially. Rest assured, the leather itself is not damaged, and these variations will become uniform as patina progresses.

About Wrinkles

Due to the wax, Foschia leather tends to wrinkle easily on the surface when bent sharply. As it is used, these wrinkles will be covered with a sheen, and the texture will gradually settle.

The video below shows an example where the entire leather was intentionally wrinkled and then used for about a month in a back pocket of trousers. The luster increases, and the wrinkle patterns develop a subdued character.
